Sue Wallin Mosey
Excellence is her hallmark for everything. She’s our Forms and Handouts Wizard – she’s the only one who has the organizational brain and patience to put together all those little projects and make them look so polished! As a former elementary schoolteacher, Sue often lends a hand with proofreading tasks.
As our administrator, she’s the person who make sure all also pays the bills, orders supplies, and works with the accountant, bankers, and payroll people—she says she has a spreadsheet for every purpose!—and she is quick to lend anyone a hand if they need something.
Sue will often comment about some new procedure or electronic gizmo by saying, “I don’t like change!” Nonetheless, she adapts quickly and has served as Rick Law’s personal assistant for sixteen years and counting. Mr. Law loves change and new electronic gizmos, so he often jokes that he and Sue combined “make one complete brain.” They have a very successful working relationship and friendship.
Aurora, Illinois was Sue’s home all of her life until her midlife marriage in 2007. Now she and husband Gary make their home in nearby Yorkville—a compromise that Gary considers “the big city” and Sue considers “the boondocks”! When Sue is not in the office, you may find her putting together detailed, beautiful genealogy workbooks for clients or buying books to sell on amazon.com. Genealogy is her passion! Sue is an ordained Presbyterian elder, but she feels her biggest contribution to the church where she grew up is the extensive research she did in her role as church historian. She and Gary love their weekend getaways to northeastern Indiana, where they have many Amish friends, and where they have purchased land to build a retirement home.
